Ashland, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- The Ashland football team went (0-9) in 2013, but this year's Oredockers are following the lead of the team's new head coach, Bill Blake, in focusing solely on the future.

"I have no starters," Blake said during preseason camp. "Last year's starters, what does that mean? It's a new day, new coach in town, so it's a clean sheet."

Blake is a native of Ashland, Wis. but says he's been gone long enough to be considered a newcomer to the town and the program, so he's already forgotten about the team's struggles last fall.

The new-look Ashland will open the 2014 season Aug. 22 against perennial rival Northwestern, with the Tigers having won this game in each of the past six seasons.
