Minneapolis, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The Duluth East boy's basketball team fell 62-51 to #4-seed Osseo in the Class AAAA quarterfinals on Wednesday, playing without 7-foot junior Akolda Manyang.
Taylor Stafford led the Greyhoundswith 17 points in the game, and Johnny Woodard and Shaq Coleman each scored 12 for Duluth East.
The team was playing without Manyang's presence under the basket after he was suspended earlier this postseason by the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL).
An appeal was heard by a MSHSL committee but not ruled on before the Greyhounds' game, which head coach Chuck Tolo called "completely wrong."
Duluth East ends the season with a record of (20-9).
