Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The #8-ranked Duluth East boy's basketball team ran to a 93-82 win over Lakeview Christian Academy on Thursday night in front of a full house at their new gymnasium.
The fire marshal was forced to turn people away at the door for the game, which touted two of the best teams in Northland high school basketball this season.
Johnny Woodard finished with a game-high 34 points for the Greyhounds, and Taylor Stafford added 19 in the winning effort.
Anders Broman, the state's second all-time leading scorer, dropped 30 points in the game for the Lions and was aided by the 22 points scored by his younger brother, Bjorn.
Duluth East improves to (16-8) this year with the win while Lakeview Christian Academy falls to (19-4) with the loss.
