  Champlin, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Bo Gronseth scored two goals on Friday night to help lead the Hermantown boys' hockey team to a 4-1 win over St. Cloud Cathedral in the Section 5A championship game at the Champlin Ice Forum in Champlin, Minn.

• Hurricanes Score Six, Will Play for State Title

  Madison, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Six different players scored goals on Friday afternoon for the Hayward-Spooner-Northwestern girls' hockey team, helping the Hurricanes to a 6-2 win over University Co-Op in the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) semifinals at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wis.

• Greyhounds Win Fifth Straight 7AA Title

  Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Alex Toscano scored the game-winning goal midway through the third period on Thursday night as the Duluth East boys' hockey team earned a 4-3 win over Grand Rapids to claim the program's fifth-straight Section 7AA championship.

• Nystrom, Spartans Win WIAA Quarterfinals

  Madison, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Tyler Nystrom scored two goals on Thursday night as the Superior boys' hockey team beat Fond du Lac 6-3 in the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) tournament quarterfinals at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wis.

• Three Northlanders Up For Top Defenseman

  Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Duluth East senior Meirs Moore, Hermantown senior Jake Zeleznikar, and Grand Rapids senior Jake Bischoff are among 12 finalists for the inaugural Reed Larson Award, which will be given annually to the best senior boys' hockey defenseman in Minnesota.

  'Toppers Outlast Hunters, Repeat as 7A Champs

  Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Cam McClure scored the game-winning goal in the second period on Wednesday night as the Duluth Marshall boys' hockey team beat Duluth Denfeld 3-2 at AMSOIL Arena to claim the Section 7A championship.

• Hunters, Hawks Lead LSC All-Conference Picks

  (NNCNOW.com) --- The Lake Superior Conference on Tuesday announced its 2012-13 boys' hockey all-conference teams, with players from Hermantown and Duluth Denfeld leading the way. The Lake Superior Conference recently selected the following athletes to the boys hockey all-conference team.

  Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Both the Hermantown and Lakeview Christian Academy boys' basketball teams earned wins on Tuesday night, with each coming against a section opponent.

  Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- The Superior boys' hockey team has just four seniors on the roster, but the team said Tuesday it is not going to use youth or inexperience as an excuse headed into the 2013 Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) tournament.

• T'Hawks Dominate Section 6A Swim & Dive Finals

  Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Grand Rapids boys' swimming and diving team put on a dominating performance on Saturday, finishing with 580 points to win the Section 6A team championship at Lincoln Park Middle School in Duluth, Minn.
