  Hayward, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- The Hayward-Spooner girls' hockey team advanced to the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) tournament on Saturday night with a 3-1 win over River Falls in the Sectional 1 championship.

• Bluejackets Win Class A Consolation Title

  Minneapolis, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Hibbing-Chisholm girls' hockey team won the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) Class A consolation championship on Saturday, beating Mound Westonka 2-1 at Mariucci Arena in Minneapolis.

• Superior Survives, Advances to Regional Final

  Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- The Superior boys' basketball team survived a tough regional semifinal on Friday night, walking away with a 33-32 victory over Wausau West in the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) Division 1 playoffs.

• Olson's OT Winner Sends Spartans to State

  Menomonie, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Trent Olson scored an overtime goal on Friday night to send the Superior boys' hockey team to a 2-1 win over Hudson in the sectional final, earning the Spartans a 35th overall trip to the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) state tournament.

• Davidson Resigns as Duluth Head Coach

  Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Shawna Davidson has resigned her post after four seasons as head coach of the Duluth girls' hockey team, she confirmed to KBJR6 and KDLH3 on Friday evening.

• Hawks Drub Rails, Advance to 5A Semis

  Hermantown, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Travis Koepke scored two goals in the second period on Thursday night as the top-seeded Hermantown boys' hockey team skated to a 10-0 win over Proctor in the Section 5A quarterfinals.
