• Greyhounds' Tapper Among New UMD Recruits

  Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Former Duluth East Greyhounds forward Trevor Olson has committed to play his college hockey at the Division I level with the University of North Dakota, he announced via Twitter on Wednesday morning.

• School Board Votes to Keep Esse as CEC Coach

  Cloquet, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Cloquet Public School Board voted 4-1 on Monday night to keep Dave Esse for another season as the head boys' hockey coach, denying a petition filed by parents to have Esse removed from his post.

• Packy Paquette Meet Honors a Fellow Spartan

  Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Francis "Packy" Paquette won plenty of medals during his time in the late 1960s at Superior High School. Each year, a track meet is held to honor Packy, the Packy Paquette Invitational. This year, 11 schools competed at UW- Superior.

• Eight Northlanders On Team MN for NIT

  (NNCNOW.com) --- Eight Northland hockey players have been selected to play for Team Minnesota in next month's National Invitational Tournament, it was announced on Tuesday.

• MN, WI Split Wins in DAYBA All-Star Series

  Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Minnesota and Wisconsin basketball teams split wins on Tuesday night as part of the 5th annual "Border Battle All-Star Game," which was put on by the Duluth Amateur Youth Basketball Association (DAYBA).

• Northlanders Highlight Academic All-State Squad
