  Ashland, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Ashland senior Bryce Miller signed a national letter of intent on Wednesday to run Division I track and field and cross country at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, doing so on what also happened to be his 18th birthday.

• 'Dockers, Spartans Finally Play Outdoor Tennis

  Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- The Superior and Ashland boys' tennis teams played an outdoor match on Thursday afternoon, marking one of, if not the, first outdoor sporting events in the Northland this spring.

• Superior's Holmes Earns Statewide Scholar Award

  Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Superior senior runner Leah Holmes has been named a winner of the 2013 Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) scholar-athlete award, one of 32 high school student-athletes to win the annual statewide honor.

• Greyhounds' Tapper Among New UMD Recruits

• SHS to Receive HOF Plaque for Bud Grant

  Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Superior High School will become an official extension of the Pro Football Hall of Fame next month, that when the school receives a special plaque commemorating the career of Superior, Wis. native and legendary Minnesota Vikings coach Bud Grant.

• Ex-Greyhound Olson Commits to North Dakota

  Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Former Duluth East Greyhounds forward Trevor Olson has committed to play his college hockey at the Division I level with the University of North Dakota, he announced via Twitter on Wednesday morning.

• School Board Votes to Keep Esse as CEC Coach

  Cloquet, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Cloquet Public School Board voted 4-1 on Monday night to keep Dave Esse for another season as the head boys' hockey coach, denying a petition filed by parents to have Esse removed from his post.

• Packy Paquette Meet Honors a Fellow Spartan

  Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Francis "Packy" Paquette won plenty of medals during his time in the late 1960s at Superior High School. Each year, a track meet is held to honor Packy, the Packy Paquette Invitational. This year, 11 schools competed at UW- Superior.

• Drummond's Best Will Attend Bemidji State

  Drummond, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Drummond senior forward Ben Best has decided to play his collegiate basketball at Division II Bemidji State, that according to a Thursday report by the Wisconsin Sports Network.
