  Minneapolis, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Alex Illikainen scored 31 points on Wednesday afternoon, but he and the Grand Rapids boys' basketball team fell 69-52 to #3-seeded Marshall in the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) Class AAA quarterfinals at Williams Arena in Minneapolis.

  Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Lakeview Christian Academy senior guard Anders Broman has been named one of five finalists for the 2013 Minnesota Mr. Basketball Award, it was announced on Monday.

• Eskomos Unseeded at State, Draw #3 Hayfield

  Esko, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Esko boys' basketball team qualified for its first Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) Class AA tournament since 2003, and on Sunday morning learned they will play #3-seeded Hayfield in the quarterfinal round.

• Turner Beats Buzzer, Sends Esko to State

  Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Esko freshman guard Jaxson Turner hit a straightaway three-pointer as time expired on Saturday night to give the Eskomos a dramatic 64-63 win over Mora in the Section 7AA championship at Romano Gymnasium in Duluth, Minn.

  Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Lakeview Christian Academy boys' basketball team has earned the #5 seed at the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) Class A tournament, it was announced on Saturday morning.

• Barnum Falls in Section 5A Championship

  Crosby, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Barnum boys' basketball team missed out on its first trip to state since 2007 on Friday night with a 76-56 loss to Upsala in the Section 5A championship at Crosby-Ironton High School in Crosby, Minn.

• Spartans Fall in WIAA State Semifinals

  Green Bay, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Hailey Kontny scored 20 points on Friday night, but she and Superior girls' basketball team fell 69-55 to Milwaukee Riverside in the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) Division 1 semifinals at the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wis.
