Washington, DC (NNCNOW.com) --- The 2013 WNBA champion Minnesota Lynx visited the White House on Thursday afternoon to be honored by President Barack Obama, but one member of the team was singled out for her continued presence in our nation's capital.

"Basically, there's like a Maya Moore wing in the White House," President Obama said. "When she comes, we kind of have all her stuff here. She's got a toothbrush."

Moore has been to the White House twice in the past two years as a member of the Lynx, but she also went three times in college with the University of Connecticut as NCAA Division I champions.

President Obama also touched on some of the serious work the Minnesota organization does off the court, singling out its efforts with local elementary school students and raising money for breast cancer research.
