Bad 8th Inning Hands Loss to Correia, Twins

Kansas City, MO (NNCNOW.com) --- Kevin Correia was charged with three earned runs in the eighth inning of an otherwise scoreless outing, eventually being charged with the loss as Kansas City beat Minnesota 3-1 on Monday afternoon.

Correia went 7.1 innings in the game, allowing three earned runs on eight hits while striking out one batter.

Ryan Doumit had the only RBI for Minnesota, that coming in the first inning. Joe Mauer and Chris Parmelee each ended the game with two hits for the Twins.

Minnesota is now (4-3) this 2013 season and will next be in action at 7:10 p.m. on April 9 against Kansas City.
