Chicago, IL (NNCNOW.com) --- The Minnesota Wild cut the deficit to a goal early in the third period, but the Chicago Blackhawks added two late tallies to win 4-1 to take a 2-0 lead in the Western Conference semifinals on Sunday afternoon.

Cody McCormick scored his second career playoff goal in the final frame, but that's as close as Minnesota would get.

Jonathan Toews put the Blackhawks on the board in the first and Brandon Saad scored his first goal of the postseason to make it 2-0 in the second.

Bryan Bickell added a goal with less than three minutes to play to make it 3-1 before Saad finished the Wild off with an empty-netter.

Ilya Bryzgalov finished with 18 saves in net for Minnesota along with Chicago netminder Corey Crawford.

Minnesota and Chicago will face off again on Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn.
