Big First Inning Continues MIL Winning Streak

Milwaukee, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- The Milwaukee Brewers scored four runs in the first inning on Friday night en route to a 5-4 win over the visiting Chicago Cubs, marking the club's fifth-straight victory.

Ryan Braun hit a three-run home run in the first inning and was followed by an RBI triple by Jonathan Lucroy, with Carlos Gomez adding a solo home run in the seventh inning.

Marco Estrada struggled at times but earned the win to improve to (2-0) this year, allowing three earned runs on seven hits across six innings.

Milwaukee is now (7-8) this 2013 season and will host Chicago for the second game of this three-game series at 7:10 p.m. on April 20.
