Blackhawks' Bollig Suspended 2 Games for Hit

Chicago, IL (NNCNOW.com) --- Chicago Blackhawks forward Brandon Bollig has been suspended two games by the National Hockey League (NHL) Department of Player Safety on Saturday for an illegal hit on Minnesota Wild's Keith Ballard in Game 4 on Friday night.

Bollig hit Ballard from behind and sent him flying into the boards in the beginning of the second period on Friday at the Xcel Energy Center.

After the hit, Ballard skated off under his own power but did not return, He didn't travel with the team to Chicago for Game 5 on Sunday in Chicago.
