Milwaukee, WI (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Milwaukee outfielder Ryan Braun will now start for the National League (NL) in the 2012 MLB All-Star Game, that after Los Angeles outfielder Matt Kemp was forced to withdraw due to injury.
Braun had been voted an All-Star starter in each of the past four seasons, but he missed the 2011 game with a leg injury.
Already the first player in Brewers history to start three All-Star Games, Braun will now start a fourth in the National League outfield on July 10 in Kansas City.
He hit a home run in Milwaukee's 13-12 win over Miami on Tuesday, putting him in the National League lead with 23 long balls this season.
