July 21, 2013 Updated Jul 22, 2013 at 10:01 AM CST

Milwaukee, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Caleb Gindl hit his first career home run in the bottom of the 13th inning en route to leading the Brewers over the Marlins 1-0 on Sunday afternoon and giving Milwaukee the series sweep and their third straight shutout.

Gindl was recalled from Triple-A Nashville on July 11 for his second stint with the team this season.

Wily Peralta pitched eight scoreless innings for the Brewers, striking out seven and allowing just two hits.

Miami has gone a club-record 37 innings without a run, the longest drought by any team in 28 years.

Both Brewers CF Carlos Gomez and LF Ryan Braun sat out of Sunday's game with injuries.

Milwaukee (41-56) will host San Diego on Monday at 7:10 p.m.
