Bucks' Boylan Won't Return as Head Coach

Milwaukee, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Milwaukee Bucks head coach Jim Boylan will not be offered a new contract, the team announced on Wednesday, that despite helping lead the team to a first playoff appearance in three seasons.

Boylan and the Bucks were swept in the first-round of the playoffs by Miami, making the coach's overall record with the team this season (22-32). He was named the head coach in January after Scott Skiles and the franchise "mutually" parted ways.

The 57-year-old Boylan has been the lead assistant under Skiles the past four-plus seasons, with his only prior head coaching experience coming in an interim role with Chicago in the 2007-08 season.
