Denver, CO (NNCNOW.com) --- Former University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) standout Justin Fontaine will be scratched and won't play for the Minnesota Wild in tonight's Game 7 against the Colorado Avalanche, that according to a report from Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Fontaine had been in the lineup for four straight games for Minnesota, but he hasn't registered a point in that span and carries a minus-two rating.

The former UMD star played 66 games in the regular season for the Wild, totaling 13 goals and eight assists in that time to make him the team's fourth-leading goal scorer.

Game 7 of the Western Conference quarterfinals between Minnesota and Colorado is set to be played at 8:30 p.m. CT at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colo.
