San Jose, CA (NNCNOW.com) --- Former University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) All-American goaltender Alex Stalock will not start Game 7 tonight as the San Jose Sharks host the Los Angeles KIngs, the team announced this afternoon.

Instead, the Sharks will turn back to Antti Niemi, who had started the first five games of the series in goal before Stalock got the call in Game 6.

The South St. Paul, Minn. native made 26 saves in his first-ever postseason start, but San Jose lost 4-1 and allowed Los Angeles to force a Game 7 after falling behind 3-0 in the Western Conference quarterfinal series.

Tonight's game is scheduled to get underway at 9:00 p.m. CT at the SAP Center in San Jose, Calif.
