Ex-Viking Allen Signs Four-Year Deal With Bears

Minneapolis, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Former Vikings defensive end Jared Allen agreed to a four-year deal with NFC North rival Chicago on Wednesday morning, the Bears announced after they released their own veteran defensive end Julius Peppers earlier this offseason.

The 31-year-old will make $32 million over four years, with $15.5 million in guaranteed money to Allen in his first two seasons, the NFL.com reported.

Allen had 11.5 sacks last season in Minnesota and joins a Bears team that tied for last in sacks in 2013.
