Raleigh, NC (NNCNOW.com) --- Former University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) defenseman Justin Faulk signed a six-year, $29 million extension last week with the Carolina Hurricanes, and tonight that club is giving him his very own bobblehead night.

The first 10,000 fans through the door for Thursday night's home game against Dallas will receive a Justin Faulk bobblehead, a limited edition collectible put out by the Hurricanes with sponsorship by Compudyne.

The 22-year-old Faulk played just one season at UMD, finishing that year with eight goals and 25 assists while helping the Bulldogs win the 2011 NCAA Division I championship.

He was also a member of the 2014 United States Olympic team, helping the Americans to a fourth place finish at the Sochi Winter Games.
