(Northland's NewsCenter) --- Former UMD Bulldogs Mike Connolly and Alex Stalock are both playing well as of late for minor league affiliates of the NHL's San Jose Sharks.

Connolly, playing with the AHL's Worcester Sharks, has 10 goals and 17 assists through 32 games this season to rank second on the team in scoring.

The former NCAA national champion also has taken 24 penalty minutes and accumulated a plus/minus-rating of seven.

Stalock, meanwhile, has won all five of his starts for the ECHL's Stockton Thunder since returning from a nearly career-ending injury.

The former Bulldog goaltender has allowed 12 goals over the five games for a 2.40 goals against average, making 156 saves for a .923 saves percentage.
