New York, NY (NNCNOW.com) --- The Minnesota men's basketball team shook off a last-second, game-tying shot at the end of regulation to beat Florida State 67-64 on Tuesday night in the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) semifinals at Madison Square Garden.

Florida State's Devon Bookert hit a three-pointer with less than a second remaining in regulation to tie the game at 60-60, but Minnesota won the overtime period despite not hitting a single field goal.

Austin Hollins and Deandre Mathieu each scored 17 points in the winning effort for the Golden Gophers, with Andre Hollins chipping in with 13 points.

Minnesota will now play Southern Methodist in the NIT championship game, with that contest scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Thursday at Madison Square Garden.
