Green Bay, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- The Arizona Cardinals earned a 17-0 victory over Green Bay on Friday night in both team's preseason opener, marking the first time the Packers have been shut out in the preseason since 1987.
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers started the game for Green Bay and completed 3-of-5 passes for 62 yards. He was replaced by Graham Harrell, who went 12-of-19 for 76 yards but also added an interception and a fumble.
The leading rusher for the Packers was James Starks, who finished with 12 carries for 38 yards. Alex Green was next on the list, coming up with 16 yards on seven carries.
Ty Walker led the team with five receptions for 41 yards, but James Jones made one catch in the first quarter that went for 50 yards.
Defensively, Green Bay forced no turnovers and was led by the five total tackles of both Micah Hyde and Josh Boyd.
