London, England (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Wisconsin native Megan Kalmoe and the United States won a bronze medal in the womens' quadruple sculls rowing event on Wednesday, finishing behind Ukraine and Germany in the 2012 London Summer Olympic Games.
The United States finished the race in 6:40:63, a little less than five seconds off Ukraine's gold medal pace of 6:35.93.
The medal is Kalmoe's first in the Olympic Games, with the St. Croix native having also competed and finished fifth in the womens' double sculls during the 2008 Beijing Summer Games.
