Gainesville, FL (Northland's NewsCenter) - On Sunday, a pair of Northland drag racing stars met in the Pro Stock final, with Wright native Jason Line defeated Greg Anderson of Duluth. Line (6.554, 211.96) defeated Anderson (6.545, 212.43) to win his second straight to open the 2011 season and second straight in Gainesville.

It was almost a perfect weekend: “We could have got the record,” Line said. Line and Anderson are teammate for Summit Racing.

The national record, which Line missed by two-thousandths and Anderson by a thousandth, went to Rodger Brogdon with a 6.495 from Friday qualifying.

Line currently holds a 48 point lead over Anderson in the Pro Stock Division standings. Anderson is the defending series champion. 2010 marked Anderson's fourth series title. Line won the championship back in 2006.
