Minneapolis, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Minnesota Lynx forward Seimone Augustus and guard Lindsey Whalen have been named to the reserve squad for the WNBA Western Conference All-Star team, it was announced on Tuesday evening.
Augustus, though has been dealing with bursitis in her left knee and will be unable to participate in what would have been her fifth All-Star Game, but she will be required to attend per WNBA rules.
Whalen, meanwhile, is an All-Star for the fourth time in her career and will join guard Maya Moore, who was voted in last week as a starter for the Western Conference.
The Western Conference will also have a Minnesota coaching staff, with head coach Cheryl Reeve and assistants Shelley Patterson and Jim Petersen set to be at the controls.
The 2014 WNBA All-Star Game will be played at 2:30 p.m. CT on July 19 at the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Ariz.
