Minneapolis, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Tampa Bay running back Doug Martin had 214 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns on Thursday night, helping his team to a 36-17 win over the Minnesota Vikings.
Martin finished with 29 carries for 135 yards and a score, adding three receptions for 79 yards and another touchdown.
Running back Adrian Peterson had another strong effort for Minnesota, rushing the ball 15 times for 123 yards and a score.
With that performance, Peterson now has 30 all-time 100-plus yard rushing games for the Vikings, passing the 29 of Robert Smith for the most in franchise history.
Minnesota falls to (5-3) with the loss and will next be in action on November 4 on the road against Seattle, with that game scheduled for 3:05 p.m.
