Masterson (11-7) threw seven innings, allowing just one run and one hit while striking out eight.

Minnesota's Scott Diamond struggled on the mound, giving up six runs on seven hits. He hasn't won since beating the White Sox on June 20 and has an ERA of 5.53.

Minnesota (41-54) travel to Los Angeles to take on the Angels at 9:05 p.m. on Monday night.
