(Northland's NewsCenter) --- Minnesota's Joe Mauer and Milwaukee's Ryan Braun both earned reserve spots in the 2012 MLB All-Star Game, it was announced on Sunday.
The 83rd annual matchup between baseball's American League and National League will happen this year on July 10 at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.
It will be the fifth All-Star appearance for Mauer, who leads all American League catchers this season with a .324 batting average, 83 hits, 17 doubles, and 38 runs scored
Braun, meanwhile, will also be making his fifth All-Star appearance after batting .313 while hitting 22 home runs and driving in 55 runs.
