Mauer Leads Twins to Border Battle Win

Milwaukee, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- Joe Mauer hit a solo home run in the seventh inning on Monday afternoon to help lead the Minnesota Twins to a 6-3 win over the Milwaukee Brewers, marking just the team's second win in the past 13 games.

Carlos Gomez hit two solo home runs for Milwaukee, a team that has now lost 10 of its past 13 games.

Kevin Correia earned the win on the hill to improve to (5-4) this season for Minnesota, allowing three runs on seven hits across six innings while striking out four batters.

Minnesota is now (20-28) this season after the win, while Milwaukee falls to (19-30) with the loss.
