St. Paul native Joe Mauer hit his first home run at Target Field as part of a 4 for 5 performance at the plate, as the Minnesota Twins knocked off the Chicago White Sox 7-5.

With the game tied at 5 in the 6th inning, Danny Valencia drove in Jim Thome for what proved to be the winning run.

Jeff Manship earned the victory for Minnesota, while Matt Capps collected his 31st save of the season, including his 5th as a Twin.

With the victory, the Twins have won 6 straight and hold a 5-game lead on the White Sox in the AL Central standings.
