St. Paul, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The Minnesota Wild has agreed to a one-year contract with defenseman Justin Faulk, the team announced on Thursday.

The big blueliner has been with the Wild in parts of the last three seasons, but last year he was still considered a rookie with the Wild.

Falk has skated in 72 games with Minnesota, totaling one goal and 11 assists while racking up 60 minutes of penalties. He was the Wild's fourth-round selection in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
