Istanbul, Turkey (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Minnesota Lynx star forward Seimone Augustus was the United States' second leading scorer on Saturday, helping the Americans to a 109-55 exhibition win over Croatia.
Augustus scored 14 points and had six rebounds for the United States, while Lynx teammates Maya Moore and Lindsay Whalen each scored four points in the winning effort.
Saturday's contest was simply an exhibition, but the Americans open up their Olympic play on July 28 against this same Croatia side. Other teams in the United States' group are China, Angola, Turkey, and the Czech Republic.
Augustus is the only of the three Lynx players on the 2012 Olympic team to have been a part of the gold medal-winning squad in Beijing during the 2008 Summer Olympic Games.
