Los Angeles, CA (NNCNOW.com) --- Minnesota Lynx guard Maya Moore won an ESPY Award on Wednesday night in the category of Best WNBA Player, that after a 2013 season in which she led her team to a second league championship in the past three years.

Moore averaged 18.5 points and 6.2 points per game during that championship run in 2013, and so far she is averaging 17.4 points and 6.1 rebounds per game in 2014.

She was also nominated for Best Female Athlete, but lost the ESPY in that category to dominant UFC fighter Ronda Rousey.
