In preseason football on Thursday night, the Green Bay Packers rocked the defending AFC Champion Indianapolis Colts, 59-24.

The 59 points were the most scored by the Packers in the preseason against a professional team. Green Bay defeated the Cedar Rapids (Iowa) Crush 75-0 in 1938, and the WI Cardinals of Madison 62-0 in 1936.

Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers completed 21 of 29 passes for 195 yards and three touchdowns in the first half. Indianapolis quarterback Peyton Manning also started, playing through the first half, and the first series in the third quarter. Manning went 15 of 26, for 214 yards and two touchdowns. He was also intercepted once and fumbled once.

Green Bay improved to (2-1) in the preseason, and close out the exhibition schedule next Thursday at Kansas City.
