St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Minnesota Wild forward Zach Parise will miss two to three weeks with a foot contusion, the team announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Parise was injured in the first period of the Wild's game against St. Louis on Nov. 25. He returned for a portion of the second period before heading to the locker room, where he stayed for the remainder of the game.
The Minneapolis, Minn. native is the Wild's leading scorer through the season's first 25 games, having totaled 11 goals and 11 assists for 22 points.
Parise had not yet missed a game due to injury since joining Minnesota before last season, and he's missed just three games during eight NHL seasons other than a major 69-game absence in 2010-11 with a knee injury.
