Minneapolis, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Minnesota Vikings running backs Adrian Peterson and Toby Gerhart are both "likely to play" on Sunday against Cincinnati, head coach Leslie Frazier announced to the media on Friday afternoon.

Both backs missed last weekend's game against Philadelphia, but Matt Asiata filled in nicely with 51 yards on 30 carries and three touchdowns in a 48-30 Vikings' win.

Peterson has been battling a sprained foot for the past two weeks, with that injury happening Dec. 8 against the Baltimore Raves, while Gerhart has been nursing a bad hamstring.

The Vikings also announced on Friday that rookie cornerback Xavier Rhodes will not play this weekend as he continues to battle a high ankle sprain suffered in the Baltimore game.
