Minneapolis, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Minnesota Twins avoided arbitration for the eighth straight year with all three of their eligible players on Friday by signing Trevor Plouffe, Brian Duensing, and Anthony Swarzak to one-year deals.
Plouffe signed a one-year deal worth $2.35 million while Duensing signed for $2 million, and Swarzak for $935,000. The three deals totaled $5.285 million, which put the payroll at nearly $76 million.
Plouffe hit .254 last season with 14 home runs and 52 RBIs in 129 last season. Duensing posted a 3.98 ERA in his first full season a reliever while Swarzak recorded a 2.91 ERA to lead American League relievers in innings pitched at 96.
