Report: Vikings Sign QB Josh Freeman

Minneapolis, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Minnesota Vikings have agreed to terms with free agent quarterback Josh Freeman, that according to a report late Sunday night by Mike Florio of NBCSports.com.

Freeman was released earlier this season by Tampa Bay, where he began the year as the starter but was replaced by Mike Glennon after leading the team to an (0-3) record.

In the three games he played this year for the Buccaneers, Freeman completed 59.3 percent of his passes for 571 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions.

Christian Ponder started the first three games of the season for Minnesota, but Matt Cassel led the Vikings to the team's first win of the season last Sunday after Ponder was sidelined with a rib injury.

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported on Sunday night that it is a one-year deal for Freeman worth nearly $3 million.
