Senator Herb Kohl Agrees to Sell Bucks

Milwaukee, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- United States Senator Herb Kohl has reached an agreement to sell the Milwaukee Bucks to hedge fund billionaires Wesley Edens and Marc Lasry for approximately $550 million, it was announced on Wednesday afternoon.

Senator Kohl had owned the team since 1985, when he bought the franchise for a mere $18 million, and made it condition of the sale that the new owners keep the team based in Milwaukee, Wis.

The sale is not yet final and is subject to approval by the NBA Board of Governors.
