Minneapolis, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Major League Baseball commissioner Bud Selig will announce on Wednesday afternoon that the 2014 MLB All-Star Game will be held at Target Field, that according to a Tuesday report from the Star Tribune.
The Minnesota Twins front office has not confirmed the report, but the team did announce on Tuesday that team officials will join Selig at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a "significant announcement regarding an upcoming event to be hosted at Target Field."
Those joining Selig at the Wednesday announcement will include Minnesota owner Jim Pohlad, Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak, and 18-time All-Star and former Twins great Rod Carew.
The news conference will be held at Gate 34 of Target Field on the main concourse.
