Minneapolis, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love will miss approximately six to eight weeks with a fractured right hand, the team announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Love suffered a fracture of his third and fourth metacarpal while working out on Wednesday morning, and the earliest the team expects his return is late November or early December.
The two-time NBA All-Star is seeking another opinion, with the team announcing he will be examined on Thursday by a hand specialist in New York, N.Y.
Minnesota opens the 2012-13 regular season on November 2 at home against Sacramento, with tipoff in that game set for 7:00 p.m.
