Minneapolis, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- The Minnesota Timberwolves front office has singed restricted free agent forward Nicolas Batum to an offer sheet, the team announced Sunday evening.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the Portland Trailblazers now have until July 18 at 10:59 p.m. CT to match Minnesota's offer to Batum.
The 6-foot-8 forward has played four seasons in Portland, averaging 10.2 points and 3.9 rebounds during that time. In the 2011-12 season, Batum averaged a career-high 13.9 points and 4.6 rebounds for the Trailblazers.
The 23-year-old forward has shot 46.0 percent from the floor in his career, that to go along with a 37.2 percent mark from three-point range.
