Minneapolis, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Minnesota Twins Hall of Famer Paul Molitor will serves as coach in 2014 and serve under manager Ron Gardenhire, his first coaching job since 2004, the club announced on Tuesday.
Molitor will oversee baserunning, bunting, infield, instruction, and positioning. He also help out with in-game strategy from the dugout. He last served in the MLB in 2004 when he was the hitting coach for the Seattle Mariners.
He, now 57, also served as a Major League coach with the Twins under former manager Tom Kelly in 2000-01.
A seven time All-Star, Molitor is one of six players with at least 3,000 hits and 500 stolen bases. He also won the 1993 World Series MVP with the Blue Jays and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2004.
