(NNCNOW.com) --- Plans for the 2014 Minnesota Twins Winter Caravan were announced on Monday morning, and six Northland cities will be getting a visit in January from players, coaches, and TV personalities.
Pitcher Anthony Swarzak and infielder Trevor Plouffe will join coach Terry Steinbach and television color commentator Bert Blyleven on the first leg of the northern trip to Grand Rapids, Minn., Ely, Minn., and Hibbing, Minn.
Those four will then be joined by assistant general manager Rob Antony for the second leg of the northern trip, which will include stops in Duluth, Minn., Cloquet, Minn., and Eveleth, Minn.
Specific times and locations for each of the stops will be announced by the club in the coming weeks.
This will be the 54th annual Minnesota Twins Winter Caravan, which will stop in more than 50 communities throughout Minnesota, Iowa, and North Dakota between Jan. 13 and Jan. 23.
