Minneapolis, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Minnesota Twins second baseman Brian Dozier was one of six players invited to participate in the Home Run Derby at Target Field as a part of the All-Star festivities next week, it was announced on Tuesday.
Dozier leads the Twins with 16 home runs which ranked as 12th best in the American League going into Tuesday's games. The final two participants will be announced on Thursday.
Joining Dozier will be some of league's best sluggers including defending champion Yoenis Cespedes, Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig, and Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton.
The Home Run Derby will consist of four rounds this year.
