Minneapolis, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Minnesota Twins have officially signed pitcher Mike Pelfrey to a two-year deal and catcher Kurt Suzuki to a one-year deal, the club announced on Monday.
Pelfrey's contract will pay him $11 million over the next two seasons while Suzuki's deal is for $2.75 million in 2014.
Pelfrey played the 2013 season in Minnesota, posting a (5-13) record with a 5.19 earned run average. He had played seven seasons with the New York Mets before signing with the Twins as a free agent.
Suzuki, meanwhile, comes the Minnesota as a free agent from Oakland, where he spent the last part of 2013 after being traded there from Washington.
The veteran catcher hit for a .232 average with 13 doubles, five home runs, and 32 runs batted in last season across 94 games split between the National and the Athletics.
