Fort Myers, FL (NNCNOW.com) --- For the first time this spring, Josh Willingham homered along with Adam Brett Walker II and Josmil Pinto as Minnesota got past Boston 7-4 in Ft. Myers, Fla. for their final Grapefruit League game on Saturday afternoon.
Willingham put the Twins on top in the second thanks to a leadoff home run. Walker added a two-run homer in the seventh before Pinto launched a three-run homer of his own.
Mike Pelfrey gave up four runs on five hits and three walks over four innings for the Twins and is scheduled to start on Friday in Cleveland.
Minnesota will open up the season on Monday at 3:10 p.m. against the Chicago White Sox.
