USA Ousted by Switzerland in Worlds Semis

Stockholm, Sweden (NNCNOW.com) --- Switzerland stunned the USA on Saturday 3-0 in the semi-finals of the world hockey championships, earning a trip to the gold medal match.

Nino Niederreiter, Julian Walker, and Reto Suri each scored against the Americans on Saturday afternoon. The Swiss guaranteed the team a world championships medal for the first time in 60 years.

The USA will take on Finland for the bronze medal. Switzerland will face host-Sweden who is looking to become the first home team to win the tournament in nearly three decades.

Switzerland beat Sweden 3-2 in the two teams' first game of the tournament.
