Minneapolis, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson has been ruled out of Sunday's game against Atlanta with a high ankle sprain.
Peterson injured the ankle during the first half of last week's game and spent much of this week in a walking boot, not practicing at all with the team.
It will be only the fourth game Peterson has missed in his five-year career, as Toby Gerhart will get the start in his absence.
